SGT(P) (Join to see) If you have access to milSuite I would recommend that you get to the S1 Net and dig in. Everything HR related can be located on the S1 Net to include professional advice from some to the communities most knowledgeable HR Leaders. My recommendations for reading are the following: FM 1-0, DA Pam 600-8, AR 600-8-104, AR 600-8-19, AR 600-8-2, AR 600-8-22, and the FUG (Field Users Guide), and the PPG (Personnel Policies Guidance). There is also the AG Tube, (on YouTube).

I'm on the global, look me up anytime, if you need some specific guidance or Support.

SFC (Join to see) is correct about having the inside track but regardless of that fact, it can come down to the impression you make.

Go in knowing the right people. 90% of the time that's how AGRs are selected. Now get ready for the deniers to comment.

I've interviewed for several positions. 90% of the questions they've asked discussed topics specific to what was in the advertisement. Such as "what regulation number covers this subject?" The few questions that were not were typically the standard "describe a difficult situation you've dealt with" sort of questions. Best of luck. Its tough to get your foot in the door with AGR.
