Did you hear that 'Russia Today' is demanding an end to the "blockade" of Cuba?

The embargo and various economic sanctions can only be lifted by Congress. Obama only reinstated diplomatic relations.

I think we're all aware (and if we're not, then we should be) that Russia Today (RT) is the Kremlin's mouthpiece in the west. They take their marching orders from RIA Novosti, the state-run news network, so anything you hear on there is genuine Russian propaganda. They spend half their time talking about non-events and the other time badmouthing whoever's in Washington. My father; who somehow can only be described as a "socialist libertarian", watches them religiously and thanks to them, believes everything in this country is wrong.
RT is as subtle as their USSR predecessor "Pravda"; which ironically translates to "truth", was in their ridiculous propaganda during the first Cold War; perhaps even more so.

Even though I agree with opening relations with Cuba, Pres. Obama, circumvented the proper process. The embargo must be lifted by congress. Full normal relations must be established by congress. Which is probably why normalizing relationship with Cuba has not happened before, because congress cannot get the votes to do it. I think it is due to the power and influence of Cuban-Americans who want to have their land and other holdings returned to them, which will never happen under the current government in Cuba.
