I found a website I thought you might like to know about, MissingVeterans.com. It's dedicated to the goal of providing an increased awareness about finding missing veterans and is ran solely by veteran Volunteers.
It provides a place for listing missing veterans, viewing BOLOs, and seeing updated reports on missing veterans.

I'm glad you brought this up. Things got so bad at one time for me in 2010 that I had already done research into just moving quietly to the Philippines and disappearing off the grid. My drinking had no small part in this decision, but compounded with the list of other factors I was an inch away from just 'walking the earth, like Caine in Kung Fu' (Pulp Fiction). More veterans disappear than we tend to imagine. Great info CPT (Join to see)

SFC Mark Merino - Great Old Friends, but it got to the point that my brain injury gave me severe head aches when I visited such old friends.

Lets hope we are all sober now SFC Mark Merino and CPT Pedro Meza, just as I am. While I never had any plans on disappearing, I suspect that might have been the end result. I drank like a fish after Nam but I was sober for almost 15 years until the day after i buried my wife and then it was a nosedive to hell. I was the one to tell the docs to stop CPR and had I been drinking, I may not have been there. My son lost his mother, he did not need to lose me and thats where I was headed. Wishing both you fine soldiers all the best!

SFC William Farrell - William, please call me Pedro. I guess it's a phase that some of go through, we were fortunate see clarity; I guess that is why I understand those Vets that live in the shadows. I will at times when permitted try to help them.

CPT (Join to see) Hey !! Thanks for that information !! I work a lot with suicide endangered Vets, and this is the kind of website that I could really use when I have lost touch with a Vet who doesn't appear to have actually committed suicide. Great Post !!

CPT (Join to see) - Having resources is a wonderful thing. We loose track so easily; that is something that should not happen. Keep up the good work.
