We are all military. We all have that instinct to protect and defend the innocent. Me personally I carry every day everywhere I go. Doesn't matter if I go to Walmart for 5 minutes or to the grocery store for over an hour. Do you carry? If so what do you carry and how do you feel about daily carrying.

SPC(P) (Join to see) I carry concealed here in Alaska. It is legal without a permit here, but you can apply for a permit if you plan to travel outside of Alaska. The permit if good for 36 other States that have a reciprocity agreement with Alaska.

I think being able to carry concealed is great, but I always respect the wishes of friends who have asked me not to bring a gun into their home. I carry a Springfield XD-s .45. It is small, lightweight, and it is loud enough to scare moose, or (so far) bears, when they come snooping around. I also, always, make sure that the gun STAYS CONCEALED. Civilians often tend to get their "knickers in a twist" when they see a gun in a public place.

I don't yet have a carry permit. I will probably obtain one soon. I would not use my weapon unless I absolutely had to do so, but it's better to have a firearm and not use it than to need a firearm and not have it. And I was trained in marksmanship by the best instructors in the world, U.S. Army Drill Sergeants.

A permit to carry is wrong. Infringes on your rights
