Should the Secret Service director be asked to resign over the latest controversy?

No. WHile it s a break in info handling regs and requires a reprimand is about it. Seems to the info was spread by rumor and not defaming in any meaningful way, or rise to a confidential level. More like SSA's guys there talking , "Yea, He couldn't get a job here". Odds are many of the agents involved were there when he applied and was turned down, and needed no look at a personal file to know what they already knew and talked about firsthand.
This is not to say the Secret Service does not have serious problems, that have been steadily getting worse since both the HSA organization and now the Obama Admin.

I don't think the Secret Service Director should be asked to resign SSgt Alex Robinson. If he chooses to do so that is fine. I wouldn't want him to resign until there was definitely somebody more competent and trustworthy to take his place.
