Sgt Jay Jones - Sergeant; It doesn't matter if he was being serious or making a joke.

The remarks were those of a person who should NOT be considered fit to be the President of the United States of America because (unlike Mr. Reagan's "We begin bombing Russia in ten minutes.") they were made in public and with the intention of convincing people to elect him.

And besides, he is a terrible Tea Partier, so we must use Bill Ayers "Rules for Radicals", number 13.
“Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions.

He's desperate for media coverage. Continue to ignore him, and he'll eventually drop from the race. The only reason he's still around is because he hopes to pick up scraps from Donald Trump.

LTC Kevin B, I guess the reason I'm skeptical that he was serious is because I live in Texas and I saw all of the lies he told during his Senatorial campaign. I honestly don't have any respect for the man. He is a "Grand Stander", that's all.

Sgt Jay Jones - I don't debate that at all. Personally, I don't view him as a legislator who has any real plans, or even a desire, to solve our country's problems. He hasn't proposed anything of substance since he has joined the national scene (and I'd even give him credit if he had proposed a hyperconservative plan of some sort....which he hasn't done). All he does is promise to tear things down, and I see/hear absolutely nothing from him that is constructive. To paraphrase an old quip about Rudy Giuliani, every sentence out of his mouth is "Subject Verb Obamacare" or "Subject Verb Constitution". I view him an someone who is simply entertaining a small segment of our society (which appears to be a significant portion of the population in his state) for his own personal benefit.

I just can't take the guy seriously on anything. He regurgitates stuff from other people and then when he comes up with something original it is out in left field or would that actually be right field. Way right field!

I think it was intended to be satirical Sgt Jay Jones
Hyperbole has been a significant part of political grandstanding for some time. It would be wonderful to return to the time of Mr Smith Goes to Washington if such time in Washington, D.C. ever existed :-)

Sgt Jay Jones - Please tell me how a sitting president would/could do what he said. Bearing in mind that he is more of a Constitutionalist than most of the candidates. The website is full of lies and as with Harry Reid no problem with lying

MCPO Roger Collins - Remember when President Barack Obama first took office, there was a segment that wanted President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney brought up on war crimes. I am thankful that President Obama did not drink the Kool-Aid. However, to even utter such a threat saying "If I become President" this is what I would do. I believe lays a bad seed that others could water and watch grow.

I'm aware that in order for a hypothetical President Cruz to do such a thing would take the support of the Congress. We both know that the Congress is not very supportive of President Obama.

Sgt Jay Jones - There was extensive members of the Democrat caucus and candidates that were trying to get impeachment for Bush/Cheney and they were making all kinds of allegations. it was not up to the President to say impeach or not impeach for Bush or Cheney. Congress alone has that power. If you can not see how ridiculous the statement6s were when they were made, then something must have been exaggerated out of proportion to what was meant. Besides what did he say that was in the Constitution enumerates for the POTUS. Killing a foreign leader is against the law and the president doesn't have legal authority to take action against a former president. That is primarily why the impeachment attempts didn't go anywhere. You can not impeach a president out of office.
