"Kunduz city has collapsed into the hands of the Taliban," Interior Ministry spokesman Sediq Sediqqi told the Associated Press.
The fall of Kunduz marks a major setback for government forces, who have struggled to combat the Taliban since the U.S. and NATO shifted to a supporting role at the end of last year.

And so the collapse of Afghanistan begins; just like Iraq - under Obama's watch.

This is really sad, but almost all of us knew this was coming with the transition to a support role by NATO troops. On one hand, it's great that there are less troops having to leave their families, but at the same time, it almost feels like 13 years of sacrifices for very little in terms of results.

It is just a matter of time before the Taliban and/or ISIS takes over the entire country.
