I like what we are currently sporting, if we could just stick with it. ASU for ceremony, Pinks and Greens for garrison, OCP's for field and duty. We'll probably have a new uniform in 10 years or less though.

The Mess uniform looks good, but a touch expensive for me.

Class A Uniforms looked the best... just the greens. That idiotic "Pinks and Greens" was used... and it was made for a past time. The Dress Blues were just that... for FORMAL dress attire... not inspections or day to day. The Troops I see now look sloppy... anyone remember that Brad Manning? He looked so sloppy during his trial... he was an embarrassment JUST by his looks. My Dress Blues, which I had to purchase, were tailored... and tailored to LOOK smart. Today's troops are just playing at being soldiers... dressed up by Brass to try to look impressive... when we know you're impressive by your actions.

I joined the NG when they were still wearing the suntans. Great uniform. Class A was khaki shirt with the greens. Then they went to the mint green shirt to kinda look like the USAF. Bad choice. People thought I was some sort of security guard. I was retired before they switched to the blues as a Class A uniform, thankfully. The olive uniform is better, with the blues for formal wear. But if you are going to duplicate the 40s, go all the way. Ditch the cover!! One thing about the Corps, uniform changes are infrequent; although in 68 I had to buy my tan (trop) Class A's as well as my white dress uniform, and my overcoat for use in he Nam!!!
