What was your decision to join? Did it stay the same overtime your whole career? Why did you re-enlist?

I joined because I felt like it was what my family wanted me to do. I was around the military my entire childhood with many family members serving or at least had served.
I have stayed in for nearly 18 years because I realized very early on that service was my calling.

I was ster crazie. Could just stay put of trouble. I joined before I got caught. I was a 3by6. My fist ship was a brand new Sprunce Destroyer. So my first where her first. We were on our 3rd or 4th Med curse. My MCPO told me I would be leaving the ship in Greece. I ask why.He said your time is up. I extended for the curse. And reuped for 6 shortly after we got back state side. Nice SRB and shore duty in Mississppi. Went reservoirs in 87. Had 2 grandparents with cancer. I spent 5mths getting to know them again. Got orders back to active duty. Back to the Med. That's when I knew I was staying for as long as I could. When the women hit the fleet. I seen all the trouble with them talking everything and twisting it. I ran for home. Before I would say the ring thing or bump into one. And get brought up on sexual harassment or assault. Thank John Glenn for helping me retire when I did.
