PO2 (Join to see) - It was so long ago, & It was a different time and place. But even today on occasion someone will ask me "Are you an ex Marine?? And I will try to answer there are no "ex" Marines, we are Marines forever and hereafter. I hope!!

I recall Korean War veterans, men from the Chosin Reservoir Battle of 1950, spoke briefly to my platoon at MCRD Paris Island to keep the traditions of the Corps. I was honorably discharged from the Corps in 2000 but in respect to my brothers who fought world tyranny this Corps today is the finest fighting force on the planet.
