I looked online but the information I found was limited.

A local newspaper is wanting to interview a Veteran who is a teacher and if the program is still active, I would like to put in a plug about it during the interview.

CSM Charles Hayden The sorry fact is out of 177 teachers at my school there are only seven Veterans and two of them are JROTC instructors. I'm the only Marine here at the school.

Yes, the Troops to Teachers (TTT) program is still active, but it is operating with limited resources:
Status
The program was canceled in 2020, but was reauthorized by Congress in 2021 to continue through at least 2025. However, the program has not received additional funding and is operating with minimal staff and resources.
Goals
The program's goal is to reduce teacher shortages in high-need schools and in subjects like math, science, and special education.
Eligibility
To be eligible, participants must meet certain education, military service, and application requirements. Many members must apply within three years after retirement or separation from service.
Assistance
The program provides up to $10,000 in financial assistance to eligible participants. It also offers counseling and assistance with navigating state requirements to become a teacher.
State involvement
25 states operate Troops to Teachers programs, with state representatives serving as advocates for former military members.
You can complete the "Program Interest Form" to receive notifications once program funding has been received

"The Troops to Teachers program was reauthorized on December 27, 2021, via the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2022, after being canceled on October 1, 2020. While the program was reauthorized, the TTT program did not receive an appropriation to fund the restart of the program.
The TTT Program was officially realigned from DANTES to the Military-Civilian Transition Office on October 1, 2023. The program is currently operating with minimum staff and resources. For additional information, please email [login to see] ."
