Wow, I didn’t know about this. Makes sense though. We just opened a special breast feeding room at my base.

I am not against mothers breastfeeding, but while on duty? Are there not alternate means to accomplish this during an 8 hour shift? Maybe I am too old school.

It appears to me we are on polar opposite ends of the spectrum on this, when I was on active duty the Mission came first, maybe that has changed.
There were a number of women that worked for me that had children, most of them breastfeed, just NOT ON DUTY. They used a breast pump and were never away from the job for more than just a few minutes at a time. In that respect a special shirt may get them back on the job fasted but it was never a problem with the professional women I worked with or supervised.
There are a great many jobs that are not structured enough to allow a lunch break at the same time everyday. The job I worked for 17 years didn't even have the same hours everyday, shifts rotated. We worked 2 days, 2 swings, 2 mids, and 2 days off.
What is fair for the goose is fair for the gander, if women are active duty they need to take care of their responsibilities just like other active duty people do. I expect the same thing of women of the Air Force as I do the guys, if you do not, in my opinion, you are doing your people a disservice.
