Hello all. Just looking for some information on what to expect as an E5 going to AIT. I complete Army basic 7/12/24 and start AIT 7/15/24. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I recently gave a good overview regarding prior service attending AIT on another thread*.

Basically, the guidance is that you're not treated as an IET Soldier, put in quarters separate from them (if available), treated almost as if you were permanent party on the base, etc.

As to the 92A AIT training, you can get an in-depth rundown of what will be taught at the U.S. Army Quartermaster School* and on the 244th's page*.

SGT Mallaber,
While you are already in AIT, I had a prior service (NAVY) who enlisted in the Army Reserve and then went RA. He had already been MOS Qualified BUT had to go through ARMY Basic Training. When he showed up, he was constantly questioned to being CID. They made him the Student 1st SGT and he was basically hands off by the Drill Sergeants beyond showing up for formation.
