I graduated BLC in January of this year and recieved my 1059 with the MOS 88M1O. The catch is that I have an assignment/transfer order that changed my MOS to 88M2O (and didn't show up in iPerms until this week, despite it going into effect 11/07/2019 and "inputed" 11/25/2019). I was selected in October of last year and all I needed was BLC to be pinned to Sergeant. Will this affect my promotion at all?

The assignment is for an skill level 2 Soldier or E5/SGT. Because you are promotable, your branch is placing you on this higher position.

88M is your MOS... the 20 just identifies that you are being slotted as an E-5 SGT. You are currently promotable so the slotting means nothing. Happens all the time.

To be honest, I am a 68W and my BLC 1059 from years ago says 35M. I have never once been a 35M but the error was never a hindrance with promotion.

SGT MICHAEL Vereecje!
Actually, you could request the 35 M as a Secondary MOS if it is in your records!
