Okay with me if California leaves the Union. It means the Democrats will elect another liberal President with great difficulty. 55 Electoral College votes--gone! Also several more radically liberal Democrat members of Congress and Senate will disappear. Hollywood products will become imports that can be regulated and taxed. US Military Bases would all be closed and personnel moved to other locations. California would be left with empty hulks of military installations in San Diego, near Sacramento, and other areas. Too bad. No income from the bases or their populations. Business would flee CA rapidly as taxes increased to support the communist agenda. The US could offer lucrative deals to any business wanting to relocate to the US while taxing the hell our of imports from CA. Yeah, go ahead and leave. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out!

I think someone should back away from the crack pipe. Independence in 9 simple points is misleading at best. They fail to consider the financial support that CA. receives from the feds, also the fact that they impede their own progress and income by their radical environmental policies. I don't see how the people will really benefit from an exit. With the loss of federal funds how can the taxes for the people not increase in order to make up the difference and maintain the standard of living and services that are available.
In my humble opinion the Brexit agenda with Britain and the EU addresses the loss of national identity, wealth and interest that globalism imposed on their folks. Basically Germany, France and England are the biggest producers for the European market and the EU burdens them for the freeloader states. I don't see that with good ol' CA .
In all the 9 points are way too easy to refute with logic and reasoning. With a little time and study it wouldn't be hard to assign numbers that would also refute them.
