Worker at child immigration facility molested teen, police say

A worker at a nonprofit organization that houses immigrant children separated from their parents at the border has been booked on suspicion of molesting a 14-year-old girl at one of its facilities in Phoenix, police said Wednesday. Southwest Key, which operates the facility, declined to say whether the 14-year-old girl was an immigrant who was separated from her parents at the border.
The news website ProPublica published a report in late July saying police responded to at least 125 calls reporting sex offenses at shelters that primarily serve immigrant children since 2014. The ProPublica report detailed a 2015 incident at a Tucson, Arizona, shelter operated by Southwest Key in which authorities said an employee touched a 15-year-old Honduran boy's penis from outside his clothing. The worker was fired and later convicted of molestation.
The fact this has been a problem this long something needs to be done.

While not cool by any means; however, this could have been avoided if individuals didn't come here illegally..

Most of those in the sweeping "no tolerance" policy issued in April were not illegal and had done the right things to claim asylum and were still separated from their kids. The actual reply should be "perhaps our politicians should discuss immigration reform."

SFC Fuerhoff so you are implying that "most" arrived at a legal port of entry to the United States and requested asylum? Bwahahahahah!
Here is another theory...no they did not. Every last one of them crossed the border illegally with the intent to evade the US Border Patrol and any other Law Enforcement Agency. Only when their efforts to avoid, evade and escape capture by the US Border Patrol failed did they "request" asylum.
