Very interesting, but the .45ACP is my round of choice.

my problem with the larger caliber ammo is costs. for !k rounds of 9mm it costs $150. The .357 M and the 45 ACP are well over $300. The weapons are even more expensive compared to the 9mm

You're right for your situation, so stay where you're most conformable and get proficient with your shooting and firearm. I still shoot a 22cal. pistol all the time to keep in tune with my shooting skills, and it's cheaper to shoot my 22cal pistol. Salute!

I don't think the .45ACP is out dated, it's just, we live in a more modern world and times. So, that's why I have a 9mm, 357mag, 38spl, 40s&w, 22cal, 44mag, 38super, and most of all, my 45ACP is named, "The American".
Thank You, RUGER for naming a firearm after the US Veterans. Salute!

I have a nickel S&W 58 , S&W blue 57, and a Ruger blackhawk 4 5/8 barrel my father bought around 1969-70. Shoot model 58 the most!

In 77, I was shooting with some cop friends, and when I shot a old Cadillac bumper they were surprised that the round went through. They were all shooting their issue 38spl. lol, bumpers were for bumping with those old Cadies.
