This is funny. Now for some reality. I had Soldiers with less than 3 years in service receive a medical retirement worth more than my 1SGs with 23 years of service. The IDES system at Fort Carson was a money making racket.

LTC (Join to see) -Unfortunately its not just at Carson. Drum was going through the same bullshit, and it left me scratching my head seeing my legitimate broke down team members giving their all to the organization only to walk away with 10-30%. WHAT??

SSG Derrick L. Lewis MBA, C-HRM - Yep, I could talk about this for days. I kept all my e-mails as well so I could send them to a Congressman to see the complete BS in Soldiers gaming the system. If the Army took out all the malingerers and chronic non-deployables you'd probably not have to change the retirement system. Most of my Soldiers were getting 70%. I don't know why the VA doesn't have a verification system like let us talk to two of your platoon members. I bet we would hear some great counter stories.
