The thing that upsets Me is Civics used to be a required Course of study. Why would anyone not want to know the way Your own Government is designed to work and function? The checks and balance, requirements for offices just to start the list. It apparent many in Government with Congress as an example seem to lack this knowledge as shown by their performance. We need to get back to basics to include History and Geography as well. Imagine actually knowing where places We deal with are located, the mistakes of History so We don't repeat them and actually learning the functions of our own Government. When is this dumbing up of American's going to stop and again as We had before educate instead of orientate ?

It blows my mind that we make aliens pass a test on civics to become citizens, but we don't even educate our own citizens on civics anymore. Judging by the responses in past elections about popular vote, people seem completely baffled by the electoral process these days.

For sure and it weren't for the Electoral College New York and California would be making the choice for the rest of us in the other 48 states. That is exactly what it was designed to prevent and why it MUST stay intact.

I agree with the civics piece. It is my opinion though that the EC is antiquated and should change.

Careful now, if we teach kids the constitution they may actually want to follow it as it was written, that would just destroy the Pelosi push to radicalize America into a Bernie Sanders Utopia established on the interpretations of the ruling party rather than the rule of law.
