I understand the reasoning behind the remarks however, there are many that have deployed to Afghanistan and if they have the uniforms, I do not see a problem with them wearing them.

There are always going to be directions that come down from higher, and I see the reasoning behind his remarks. Like was stated earlier, there is a lengthy phase in/out period for the uniform. I personally am not going to spend the money on the new uniform until I have to. I deployed and have 4-5 pairs of OCP and to be honest I'm glad to finally put them to use!
At the same time I see what is being said about the mixing of uniforms. It's one of those double edged swords I guess. We want uniformity in the Army but yet we give 4 years to phase out the old uniform. I just so happened to be at the Clothing and Sales here on Bragg when they went on sale July 1 and you would have thought that it was the new Xbox that was being released.
