His excuse was he couldn't see over the bow because he was sitting down? Dude, you are in inland waters with a lot of other traffic! Get your fat, dumb a@@ out of the chair (and off the sauce in all probability) and be a responsible boater. But why didn't the fisherman start their engines and move themselves out of the way? They didn't need to move more that a 100 feet...

Not to be glib did anyone get the name of that name of that boat
Having lived in the Florida Keys and worked as mate on a sport fisher about that size you can probably bet that alcohol was involved and the Captain had his head up his ass. In Florida any Captain who uses his boat to make money (Charter Boats) has to get his ticket (license) which requires at the time I was there 400 hours on the water. This was called a six pack. Six miles, six people, and that includes the Capt and mate. Now here the rub any Yahoo with more money than since can buy a boat like that with no training on rules of the road, proper safety or number of people, and tool around trying to impress people. Give me a break. Now they can buy the boat. Load it up and once the dealership has shown him how to start it and head out. And in Florida your enforcement was the Coast Guard that appears to be a lake and would be patrolled buy state or local authorities.
