I like that term "the new normal." I really don't know what "normal" really is? Never have and the only thing that I do know is "normal" is the setting on my washing machine and dryer. And as far as the media goes, they wouldn't know the truth if it bit them in the ass. What anyone of us did back then is in the past, it's history, and we cannot change a thing. All I can say is that if I was told , ordered, to do it today, I would do it again, even knowing what I know today!

The distortions in the media of what we did and why we did it do not help those that went through it when they look back on their actions. It is too easy to accept the media distortions as the truth after much repetition.

This is especially true for our current generation who have no first hand knowledge of past events, but depending solely on what is put into print.

Thanks for sharing COL Mikel J. Burroughs. Our golden years are ahead of us. For those who know the Lord as Savior that is true to the nth degree.
