TDIU allows service connected disabled veterans to be compensated at 100% even if their disability is at a lower level. Thus a person with a 50% disabling back injury can be granted 100% because the back injury makes them unable to work. Pres Trump wanted to zero out TDIU and the VA wants to keep it. The underlying though is that veterans over 62 should be getting Social Security and not "need" the compensation money. But there are many cases when the Social Security payment would be far less than the 100% disability compensation. What do you think?
