The first casualty of war is truth. America is a very different culture than the Ukraine. The history of the Ukraine is much different than American history. There is a lot of reason for the people of Ukraine to dislike Russia, Stalin’s bitter harvest that starved 6 million Ukrainians etc. So when an appealing figure such as Vita Zarverukha appears and is promoted be aware that there maybe much more to the story. I think Ukraine should be independent and was guaranteed independence and sovereignty by turning over its nuclear weapons. That said don’t be surprised if the Ukraine doesn’t turn into the sweet little Democracy America hopes for. There are at least two Nazi brigades in the Ukraine Army. Elle magazine rushed in to pump Vita as a “Joan of Arc”, and got burned. I do not fully understand the totality of the Ukraine political land scape and I want to leave that to them. I do want the Russians out, period. I do not want US troops there, period. I really don’t think many Americans understand the Ukraine enough to favor the commitment of US forces. Biden saying we would respond in kind if Russia uses chemical weapons means what?

Neo-Nazis are in Russia as well as the USA. Here in the USA they are huge supporters of Drump.

Here is a little more information on the Azov regiment and the Aidar battalion Vita joined. Note, this isn’t Fox News. The Azov regiment existed as a private right wing group . They were very effective and were allowed to join the Ukraine army. This would be akin to the KKK starting a private militia and allowing that militia into the US army. The same guy who funded the Azov regiment funded the Aidar group Vita joined. Along with all this their are Chechen groups fighting both for and against the Russians. My point? We need to spend the next several years studying Afghanistan and Iraq before we commit the blood of our youth and the treasury of our nation to something the American people don’t fully understand. General US Grant said “ war is hell “ so the less time you spend there the better. So if we do commit troops commit them with the FULL might and power of the US. Their are fanatics on both sides ANTIFA, militants parts of BLM and others like the communist party of america support democrats as a means to and end. All sides have fanatics. Look at all sources the real truth lies in the middle somewhere. Both sides cherry pick info. The whole truth lies in the middle to truly make and informed decision. As I told my kids when they turned 18 and ask me who to vote for. I told them to make a list of 10 things important to you. Then look at each candidates platform to see where they say they stand. Then read ten articles with half being conservative and other half progressive to find out truly where each candidate stands then put check in for each of the ten things important to my kids. Told them it will never be 10-0 more like 6-5 or 7-4 and if it is 5-5 then flip a coin since it doesn't really matter. My kids now do this for every election and their friends are coming on board with it also. Sometimes it is easy to decide other times it is the lesser of two evils.

MAJ Roland McDonald - I agree, my point is there are things in play we are not aware of in the Ukraine. I simply don’t want American young men killed there. Ukrainians seem to be doing well, we don’t need to get involved. The Ukraine army has vastly increased the number of tanks they have by capturing Russian tanks.
