Treasury Refuses to Release Trump Tax Records, but Releases Hunter Biden's Financial Records

I would worry less about the Taxes of a person that was a billionaire Before he became a politician - try the tax returns of politicians that became millionaires after being elected.

Seems to me that this is much ado about nothing.
The main accusation against Trump was that he was trying to get dirt on a potential political opponent. We spent 6 months chasing squirrels on this... because the integrity of our elections is at stake.
Now it looks increasingly like Biden is not going to be the opponent in November.
The main accusation against the Democrats is that this is a fishing expedition on some Moby Dick hunt to get the goods on Trump. The Treasury Department (rightly) views the "legislative reason" behind trying to get Trumps tax records as... questionable.
And we know that Trump will be the Democrats opponent in November.
So who is the hypocrite here?
