Top Democrats privately concede major shift in public opinion on impeachment is unlikely

It looks like the retreat for the Democrats is beginning. Even CNN is reporting this and is preparing the Democratic base for the “Nothing burger” being served. Pelosi comparing this to the Nixon impeachment is one heck of a stretch. The Nixon impeachment was bipartisan. There were well articulated crimes found by the special counsel, and the process was fair. So far we have watched Schiff deny Republicans the ability to call witnesses, limit the Republicans the right to yield time and other petty nonsense. It is obvious Schiff is attempting to control the process and narrative. The Democrats are even using focus groups to figure out what to charges to bring against Trump.
