I looked through all the slides, Maj Marty Hogan, and one most significant event is missing. I can't believe that history buffs have missed the fact that I was married on December 22, 1979! 1944: WWII - Battle of Bulge: During the World War II Battle of the Bulge, U.S. Brig. Gen. Anthony C. McAuliffe rejects a German demand for surrender, writing "Nuts!" in his official reply.
1964: First flight of the SR-71 (Blackbird): The first test flight of the SR-71 (Blackbird) takes place at Air Force Plant 42 in Palmdale, California.
