OSHA expert's view on mask wearing! A credible perspective!!
From an OSHA Inspector: I wanted to put this out there. I have worked in a clean room for 23 years and 10 years on Submarines before that.

LTC Vincent Moore - You are welcome. I'm not a militant anti-masker, but I don't think most people understand how N95 masks work and for what they were designed. Contrary to the common battle cry, they do nothing to protect those inside your social distance radius, unless you are literally coughing/spitting directly on them.
Surgical masks in a non-sterile environment are designed for protection against "splash," not airborne viruses.
I'm in the high risk category, and my pulmonologist told me that if I'm wearing a cloth mask and don't sanitize it properly every hour or so, I'm walking around with a a "death sponge" strapped over my air intake. Other stuff is going to kill me before the corona virus. He told me far and away the single most important thing I can do is wash my hand frequently with warm water and soap, taking the time to develop a good lather.
