Agreed or not - when a HR executive of a Fortune 500 company offers tips on how to make your resume more appealing to talent managers and you're the one searching for a job...it's probably wise to listen to the advice.

Totally agree - aren't we always telling a story? What a better depiction of you then getting the reader engaged? Tell a mini-short story about each of your past work or military accomplishments. Make the reader feel like they are getting insights into who you really are!

She makes some great points! Your story should always be tailored to your audience, which is why many people have multiple versions of their resume. When you send someone your resume, you are introducing them to your personal brand. Not to get off topic, but also keep in mind that your resume, not matter how compelling is not enough. Networking is so important-both online and offline. People email me their resumes but I still look at their Linkedin profile to see who's endorsed them and who they are connected to, etc. If they dont have a Linkedin profile, it's not in their favor.
