The Vietnam War Transcript Trump Needs to Read

This bit of history was not included in Burns' documentary and the author of the article feels it should have been. This conversation occurred before the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution in 1964. A partial quote towards the end of the article reads:
"...as this phone call helps to demonstrate, the president of the United States, trapped by his political fears and a failure of imagination, never developed a way to divert a car he knew was slowly but surely drifting toward a cliff."
