I believe that there was a distillery in Cockeysville in the 1970s that made "Fighting Cock Bourbon"...it had a powerful punch to it: 120 proof (or higher} if I remember correctly. The Baltimore area "City-Poly" games were fiercely contested; a state-wide interest was shown in those football clashes - riots at times after several of the games.

So, I looked up the history of my old swimming hole and discovered that it had a History. Marble quarried there was used in the construction of the Washington Memorials in both Baltimore and Washington DC
