I would hazard a guess, that there is a strong generational difference of opinion as to the pearl clutching surrounding this issue in today's armed forces.

SGT David A. 'Cowboy' Groth As a Navy guy, boot camp, crossing the line, blanket parties, CPO initiation, Order of the Blue Polar Bear, any night in the dirty shirt locker at the Pensacola Officer's Club. All had an understood purpose. All have been watered down to "what's the point" or done away with. Has morale and love of country improved?

I remember a couple of guys that were hazed when I went through basic years ago, they were hazed due to their slowness at training,and their pt scores, can't remember their names, but they went on to be better at everything put on their plate to do sir COL (Join to see)
