This is, IMHO, how a real Fascist USA would be. This Alternate reality if the USA lost WW2 and Germany and Japan. Circa occupied USA in 1962. This alternate reality with concentration camps killing jews, gays, those with disease disabilities. The film deals with the Japanese and German secret police looking for rebels with films showing the USA winning the war. This is a bleak dystopian alternate history. It is like a Twilight Zone type of TV show you can see on Amazon Prime. If you do not have time to watch dozens of hours of shows, here is a recap of the First Two Seasons. Thing about it is, SGT Robert Pryor, no one has ever been able to put Ayn Rand on the silver screen successfully, in my opinion. The 1949 version of The Fountainhead with Gary Cooper was awful. The 2011-2014 trilogy of Atlas Shrugged was an absolutely pathetic hodgepodge.
On the other hand, Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four (1984 and 1956) were okay, especially the 1984 version.
Ayn Rand’s work was simply too detailed, lengthy and complex (on many levels) I suspect.

My wife and I watched the entire series, LTC (Join to see). For the most part, we enjoyed it, but we thought the ending to be rather lame.
Frankly, Alexa Davalos was the highlight of the series. She also played Kyra in The Chronicles of Riddick.
