I have a single shot shotgun that was my grandpas, and my dads. It is short and has one heck of a spread.

I would bet it has much less spread that you think. Even with at 18" barrel and no choke the pattern isn't much bigger than the palm of your hand at 7 yards. Unless you have a huge home with large rooms and long hallways you just aren't going to get much spread out of it.

SSG Tom Pike my dad used it on a dog 36 yrs ago, it had a 12 inch spread at 20 feet.

Awesome article! As a prior law enforcement I love the pistol! Small easily hide and effective! On the other hand I tell people use what you feel comfortable with!
