Necessity day always reminds me of the old saying " work for what you need live for wants"! I always took that as work to keep the necessities in your life but live for your heart! Have a great hump day and take care!

Maj Wayne Crist - I learned that when I was a boy a man would work for a dollar. Working for what you want making you appreciate it more.

I expect that you are well aware that the LORD always provides for our essential needs, necessities and our deepest desires that are within HIS will in HIS perfect timing. I pray that you and I treat each person we interact with respectfully, that we listen attentively when we verbally communicate with adults and especially young children. ‘Therefore, I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing’ [Matthew 6:25 ESV] my brother-in-Christ PVT Mark Zehner.

I pray each adopted son and daughter of the LORD recognizes that it is necessary to respect the authority of the federal and state government authorities and local government authorities who are law abiding and support the constitutional requirements of the country and state we reside in. I pray the Federal and State court justices and judges recognize the authority of the Constitution and Bill of Rights and that YOU LORD bless justices and judges with wisdom and great judgement. “Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore, whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment.’ [Romans 13: 1-3 ESV]

I lift the school age children, their parents/guardians, teachers, and administrators to YOU LORD. I pray for wisdom, good judgement, and discernment for parents, teachers, and administrators. I pray that each school district is focused on the necessity of education and safety for each child and the health of the children, teachers, administrators. I pray that YOU continue to protect the school children, their families, and the teachers and staff at each school. I pray that most school districts will be able to safely open up for teaching school children in primary through high school for public and private schools. I pray that each school pays attention to the health of the children and staff and they do their best not to scare children.
I pray for an increase of peace, compassion, and love in each family of YOUR adopted children. I pray that YOUR light shines through us to bless our neighbors and that tension is diminishing at neighborhood level and upwards.
I pray that support for the rioters, looters and violent-prone thugs of all stripes is evaporating across much of this nation and that funding for professional hoodlums is significantly reduced in Portland, Seattle, Philadelphia, New York City, Washington, D.C, Atlanta, and Kenosha. I pray that the DoJ and DHS investigations into the nightly riots, looting and violence will result in arrests based on solid evidence and suitably long prison sentences in Federal prisons for those found guilty.
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Wednesday night and will awake healthy on Thursday morning.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

Good morning Col Burroughs. It's definitely "hump day"
This may seem an odd choice for a quote but I have been reading a lot about nature and mental health. It's becoming obvious that being locked inside without access to nature is very detrimental to people's mental health. Now there is a new study out that shows hospital patients who can see nature outside a window in their rooms, heal faster, need less pain medications and are discharged sooner than those who don't have that access. Wilderness or nature is necessary to our wellness.

Lt Col Charlie Brown - I think your thoughts on being locked down and away from nature is perfect for the topic of necessity. You can take the word necessity and apply it to so many things Charlie. Thanks for your wisdom and thoughts, and all the great quotes you shared today. Let me leave you with my final thought on necessity:

"May your necessities lead you down the right path, whether it's leading, teaching, learning, or progress toward a goal or project you're working on that is important to you. May you always have a positive attitude toward the necessities you're working toward; may you always be in the best health to complete the necessary things that need your attention to detail; and keep your family safe, secure, happy, and healthy (all necessities that need your attention). Remember necessity does the work of courage and it's something leaders need to be successful - it's not an option. Have a great Wednesday and "Hump Day!" - COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs
