The Case for Skills-Based Immigration

We are having a problem resolving this because the Left wants to lump immigrants, illegal aliens, and refugees into one class and resolve all their issues with one universal solution. It'll never work. But they don't care about solutions. They have an agenda and are willing to destroy America so they can rebuild it as a Utopian socialist paradise.

The "send us your poor, your tired, your huddled masses" theme may have fit a hundred years ago but not in the current USA. The economy, workforce, and technology has changed and we need to change immigration accordingly. We need immigrants that can add to rather than take away from our Nation. We also need to know that immigrants are not coming here to cause more damage. Nothing wrong with setting standards for immigration that best fit the needs of the US. As long as the standards are applied equally across the board it passes the Constitutional test. As long as the standards protect us and add to our progress it passes the smell test. With $20 trillion in debt we don't need to import people that add to it. I see nothing wrong with vetting or ensuring immigrants are not a drain on our economy.
