My first reenlistment in the Coast Guard, comms got screwed up and I showed up at Group (Battalion/Air Force Group equivalent) to swear in (last day of my enlistment!!). The Admin Warrant Officer was obviously in a huge rush and rather pissed off, trying to get in to the morning staff meeting. He grabbed the paperwork and took a breath like he was about to read it, then it went down like this.
"Have you read this?"
"Yes Sir."
"Do you?"
"??"
"DO YOU?!?!"
"Uhhhh, yes?"
"Great. Congratulations. Sign here. Get back to your unit and get to work."
Personally, I think it was true Coastie fashion, and I remember it fondly.
I think the biggest problem with this one was that it was recorded.

The reenlistment ceremony is not for the Tenn Guard or it's commander, it's for the individual. The only requirement is an officer to administer the oath, and a US flag everything else is up to the individual. This is an example of gutless leadership's overreaction.

The reaction to this is the result of the lefts PC culture. That is all.
