Spitfire 944 was a Photo Reconnaissance Airplane painted blue to hide in clear skies and had the markings of the USAAF. In 2005, an 83 year-old World War II pilot is surprised to see 16mm footage of his 1944 Spitfire crash for the first time.

That was a great story and it was so great the pilot was able to see those films of that time in his military service and that landing.
