With a one billion dollar defunding of the New York Police which also resulted in the reassignment of all the undercover officers to uniform, this only makes matters harder on the police to do their job. The story comes from a Canadian paper. The Canadians noticed this stupidity by the Mayor and city council of New York. The knee jerk reaction to BLM activists may put more social workers on the street but crime will still go up due to piss poor planning and lack of limited resources.

Appeasement has never worked. It is accepted by the aggressor (BLM and ANTIFA in this instance) as a sign of weakness and encourages them to press for more
