I regularly receive the VAOIG reports and they identify issues and RECOMMEND what should be done to remedy the problems identified during their inspections. They have no authority to make changes. Most agencies do a commendable job, but it can be career limiting. Obama has fired three for reports he didn't like.

They way to fix that is for the reports to be Public. Burn them to the water line till they fix the issue.

CPO (Join to see) - The reports ARE public. Once the report and recommendations are complete, it's up to senior management in the VA to act upon them. Sign up for them at VAOIG, it is available to all interested parties.

I honestly believe in order to make the Veterans Administration, V.A. Hospitals and Clinics better, it's time for the Veterans to take things into their own hands.
Not in protest or marchs, but even a better way. Most everyone today has a cellphone that records. Well I say, if you see something wrong, record it. Then send it to every Senator, Representative and the news media in your State. If you have to, don't let them see you recording. Keep doing that. Maybe someone will finally listen.

Don't even hide it let them know what you are doing. They have no authority to stop you.

My wife works at the VA and lives her job. She goes above and beyond to make sure vets get their claims. She tells me stories of how other state VA workers take no time at all or research claims. VA needs to start with the people that work there and start putting people in these positions that want to be there.

Its a nice idea but they all "want" to be there, they just don't "all" want to do the work. Its not even the lower tier, its the administration department across the board. If you work in admin or are an administrator you should be fired and replaced. Almost all of the Scandals revolve around Management. If the top is corrupt then cut off the head.
