The impact was over estimated however if things continue as they have….. the effect should increase. It’s been a slow leak not a busted pipe as speculated.

Using your analogy...
Putin regime put temporary patches on busted pipe (e.g. currency manipulation, interest rate hikes, etc.), but small leaks are getting through (e.g. GDP decline, etc.). We shall see how long the patches hold before economic pipe has major leak.

You got me LTC Eugene Chu I tend to use analogies quite often lol. I spent 27 years as a crash Reconstructionist Trying to explain the physics of car crashes to, often times, many people on a jury who have no background in it. The problem is that when you do that to people who are versed in a topic…. You can seem condescending or that you have a higher opinion of yourself.

Good article. Russian economy is stable for now, but showing signs of stagnation. If Putin regime cannot get access to investment money, technological upgrades or repair parts, it will slowly crumble.
