Growing up during the birth of Rock & Roll (mid 50's), I saw the heavy influence of black performers. Little Richard, yes, but also many others like Chuck Berry, Fats Domino, Bo Diddley and more. As we all know, Rock & Roll evolved from Jazz, which was predominantly black.
