While President Biden has paused the shipment of certain munitions and weapons to Israel amid concerns over a potential Israeli ground invasion of the densely populated city of Rafah in Gaza he seems to forget that fighting wars from his armchair and taking military recommendations has resulted in dire failures on his part . In his infinate wisdom he is following the same path to disaster. As a reminder:
13 U.S. service members killed during the evacuation from Afghanistan was caused by a suicide bombing attack carried out by the Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISIS-K) outside the Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul on August 26, 2021. The attack also killed around 170 Afghan civilians.[1]
To his credit, President Biden took responsibility for the decision to withdraw U.S. troops from Afghanistan by the August 31, 2021 deadline, which led to the chaotic evacuation from Kabul and left behind a large stockpile of U.S.-supplied weapons and equipment for the Afghan military.[2]
While President Biden can easily allow million to cross the border unvetted, allow tens of thousands to be killed by Fentanyl, (over 150 people die every day from overdoses, many from spiked fake named drugs) and fly unvetted people by the thousands into the United States, he breaks promises to Afghans who served the US Military.
Search results indicate that promises were made to Afghan interpreters and personnel embedded with U.S. and allied forces during the war in Afghanistan to provide them a pathway to immigrate to the United States in exchange for their service, but those promises were not upheld.[3][4]
The sources mention that anywhere between 75,000-100,000 SIV-eligible Afghans were left behind after the U.S. evacuation[5]
