This is why schools should teach critical thinking early in life.
This is a blog, not a news source. This is the equivalent of Uncle Jim's fireside argument against global warming. "Only 180,000 combat troops deployed... Where did the influx of 2 million vets [to the VA] come from?"
This is why real news sources have editorial staff.

Smart asses don't get credit for being intelligent by making rude comments under other posts when they especially insult people under a pretense that something shared is fake. If you were anything of intelligence yourself, you would prove the information is fake by providing back-up that it actually is. Say something constructive instead of shot just flying out, you may just get somewhere. Try pulling this stunt again. I will downvote you and report you to Admits.

Stephanie Jones I am pretty sure that SFC (Join to see) pointed out the the 180k troops deployed is a bullshit number, the followed that up by pointing out that with that small of a number it is nearly impossible for the VA to be treating 2 million vets. If you felt insulted because he pointed out the flaw in using that blog as a source, then that problem is yours and yours alone. threatening to down vote him and report him to the admin only makes you seem like a petulant child.

I got those points, the insult came from the first statement by insulting intelligence.

And you just continued with your own by referencing me How can you not see that someone could or would feel insulted by that? And now your pointing out that I seem like a petulant child by threatening to downvote him and report him to admin? That is a clear direct personal insult at me. I have no argument on him calling BS on the numbers whatsoever, he doesn't have to believe it nor does anyone else at that matter. At this point, yes I felt insulted, I felt even more insulted when you made your comment. I am dealing with a Cardiac issue that medication is not helping with at a very young age that this has now set off. I am also newly pregnant and my hormones are going nuts, not that I needed to share that with you, but I'm giving you an idea of what's going on with me so that you know my risk and how much it is so not worth having this argument with either one of you. Maybe the SFC intended to insult me, maybe he didn't. Maybe it was supposed to be directed at the source itself, maybe not. Either way, I personalized it and identified it with myself whether I was right or wrong. If I was wrong, I have no issues with admitting that. But I'm not going to unless I know it wasn't directed at me. Even though the numbers may not seem right to either of you, someone shared that information and its public. In not mad now, but I do think fact-checking should be done prior to calling an article or post not credible. Its unbelievable the numbers of SM and Veterans that are committing suicides daily, monthly, yearly, yet the numbers are accurate if you're following me.

The first step is investigate and prove allegations are true before making any judgement! There has been so much waste, fraud and misuse of funds by the VA that they should be the point of any investigation from my perspective!

I agree, we have so many families that have lost their loved ones (veterans) because of the drugs causing suicidal ideation and behavior, some of these families I am connected with and see their anguish on a daily basis. I've read recent research put out by Veterans Affairs, the question is if the funds were missed, a congressional inquiry could make light of that situation and provide some answers. There are so many questions and so many Vets still struggling with suicide.

Yes, Im not sure who all has seen this, even though its older news its the first I've seen of it, and I am constantly reading about VA and Veterans issues. I thought I would bring this to light for people who haven't seen it.
