Know thine enemy. Know the lies being told. Arm yourself with truth. Don't get angry when someone approaches you parroting this nonsense. Engage them in respectful conversation until they invariably attempt to silence you by screaming or plugging their ears while singing "la, la, la, la, la, la..." Then and only then, you may realize that they are as hysterical as any petulant brat throwing a temper tantrum. I know it will be tempting to smack them silly, but don't waste your time. You'll only get in trouble and never find that "sweet spot" that might reengage their brain function...
