From 2020-2022 Canada had draconian COVID lockdowns and restrictions. This restaurant owner. fought back. I am sure some Blue American cities did the same to restaurants and rebel Pastors. Some Canadian cities would arrest those pastors who held services in violation though going to Costco was ok.
Canadian Truckers locked down Ottawa Canada for 3 weeks in a similar protest and the Canadian Government lost in a recent Canadian Supreme Court decision against the 2-14-2022 State of Emergency.
Blue states have higher taxes and higher crime. Blue states with Draconian lockdowns lost populations to red states that didn't have lockdowns.

The Supreme Court of Canada shot down Justin Trudeau's state of emergency.
Former police and former Canadian government officials Coordinated a truck convoy with a code of conduct that prohibited Swastika's and Confederate flags though Trudeau lied and said they were there.
The capital of Ottawa Canada was a complete lockdown. Truckers were there with cranes. There were flags of Quebec and of other countries, but no swasticas and No Confederate flags. People from all walks of life were there and from all races. The racism that Trudeau was talking about did not exist.
The truckers had a code of conduct. The protest organizers had logistics set up with a command post, fuel, food, DJs, and patriotism against the fifteen-day quarantine imposed by both the US and Canadian governments that unfairly targeted truckers. Most of the truckers were vaccinated, but they were there to support the truckers who could not or would not be vaccinated.
The Canadian government used the illegal seizure of bank accounts to destroy the lives of the leaders of the protest.
This is a word to the wise because someone like President Biden would do something like this.
We also had protests at the border and blockades done by truckers at the Montana/ US border and at the Freedom bridge over in Michigan.
Protests also came through Edmonton as well.
The good thing is both the Canadian and the American governments blinked, and those people like me, who are unvaccinated, can now drive or fly back and forth between countries without the 15-day quarantine.
The protest started about two years ago.
