Back in the 1960's there was a group of guys that formed what was called the "Rat Pack"! For my next Music Interlude I bring you four of the Rat Pack, Sammy Davis Jr., Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Johnny Carson... I hope you all enjoy this fun packed Rat Pack Skit and song!

"It's funny how people today miss the point of the racial humour and how progressive it was and the statement it actually made about the ridiculousness of prejudice. Sammy explains the reason for the racial humour beautifully in his first book. It's also interesting how people today just see a black guy and two white guys, when in reality both Dean and Frank also faced prejudice for their Italian heritage which they also make fun of by calling each other things like "dago" and "wop" and if you actually listen, you hear Sammy using those ethnic slurs towards them, too in a lot of their acts. Because that was the point, they were equal in that regard - they were all "outsiders" to society at that time and they're making fun of that. But people often forget that context.
And for those who were asking, it's Sammy who says to Dean, "How does it feel to sit at the back of the bus?" which is an incredibly poignant line that sends the message of civil rights home without preaching or lecturing. In one line, it inspires people to ask themselves just why one group of people are treated one way and another group are treated another. Honestly, I don't think these guys get enough credit for that."
Back in time we were able to laugh, cry, clap, and just plain have fun... Now, one can hardly open his or her mouth and say anything without someone yelling "racist" or worse... Such a sad change to our Country...
