Inmates at our (Core Civic) corrections facility in Shelby, Montana trained service dogs that went to veterans and others. The dogs stayed with the inmates in their cells. Usually, the recipient was gifted the dog by the inmate in a ceremony at the facility. The dog did good deeds for both people. Seemed to cut down on recidivism.

This program is one that has been adopted in a number of prisons across the country; it's an awesome program and it definitely cuts down on recidivism and problems within the jail while inmates are serving.

CWO4 Terrence Clark That's a worthwhile program. I hope the higher ups don't decide to cut it due to "Funding" or some other such reasons.
