People who commit crimes should be punished accordingly. Unfortunately, the disparity in prosecution is routinely being drawn along racial and ideological lines. It’s pretty hard to argue that Jan 6th rioters should receive long sentences when BLM/antifa rioters are not prosecuted or receive light sentences. All rioters should be severely punished in an orderly society.
