That's Turkey - and what remains several generations later as progeny of the Ottoman Empire which heavily populated Palestine with European Jews to satisfy the new ideology of political zionism at the time. It was a political ideology intended to be a way to solve the "Jewish problem" of European antisemitism - partly due to Russian pogroms which repeatedly threatened to and killed Jewish folks, primarily in Ukraine, if they did not leave. Wondering if those Turkish folks know their own history?
Seems that most nations do not want to shine a light, in retrospect, on past choices - so that people can learn about cause and effect in a larger context where there is enough blame to go around for everyone. Learning context is not necessarily blaming, because blaming does not stop the violence and narcissistic dictatorial genocidal desire of would be despots. WWII certainly proved that, when it took the Russian pogroms further.

The whole Middle East situation reminds me of the "Hatfields and the McCoys. They fight each other because their ancestors did.

The Prime minister supports this as it helps cover his crimes against the Kurds
